Overall Objective

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time assistant residential sales negotiator to join one of the leading independent estate agents and chartered surveyors operating within the West Yorkshire region.

You will assist the residential sales team in the sale of residential properties, undertaking general administrative duties and covering the office on Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Dealing with incoming enquiries via email and phone.
  • Working independently covering the sales office on Saturdays
  • Assisting sales valuers in completing compliance paperwork prior to bringing properties to the open market including completing Anti-Money Laundering Checks and Property Information Questionnaires.
  • General day-to-day office duties including updating window displays, signing property keys in and out, booking market appraisals, dealing with customer both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Provide initiative-taking support to vendors and assisting sales team throughout the marketing period
  • Handling sales/lettings enquiries, arranging viewings, whether accompanied or with the vendor.
  • Assist residential team in actively managing available stock with an initiative-taking approach.
  • Offer professional advice to vendors, and viewers relating to all aspects of property.
  • Registering new clients/applicants ensuring we obtain all relevant details at point of registration.
  • Ensuring customer requirements are regularly updated, making regular contact to assist wherever possible in finding them a property that matches their specific requirements.
  • Always identifying opportunities for cross selling other aspects of the business, ensuring no valuation opportunities are missed when registering clients who have houses to sell and offering other services, or referrals including mortgage advice, surveys, and auction services.
  • Making sure all advice, written, verbal or through our marketing complies with The Consumer Protection Regulations 2008.
  • Completing relevant training covering Anti-money Laundering, Data Protection and Consumer Protection Regulations.

Ensure compliance with all other applicable legislation, including but not limited to, The Bribery Act 2010, The Data Protection Act 1998, and so on. Also, to ensure that all company practices and procedures are followed and adhered to as they may apply from time to time.
